November in Canada

At the end of October I flew to Canada to look after Sue whilst her daughter returned to Ottawa to her partner and home and to sell their house, which they have done!
I returned to UK last Wednesday and was greeted by DH at Gatwick airport wwith a dozen red rosesLOL!! We had really missed each other for the month.

Here is my lovely friend Sue having a calcium IV since she has bone cancer and has to have this every month.
The first week I was there Sue managed to come out for a few meals at lunch time and I was able to take her by car on a few very short trips. These trips meant she would spend the rest of the day sleeping

Sue spent a lot of time sleeping so apart from DHW and cooking I managed to do some scrapping with kit's I took with me!
This LO was a class kit from Cardinal Colours retreat in September, I didn't do the class then but bought the kit

This LO was for a UKS House Challenge and I used papers from another Cardinal Colours class kit and followed the given sketch

This LO was for the WC and I bought 2 papers at a scrapping shop I found and the unusual object I scrapped was a card I had sent Sue in the summer and I found in a kitchen drawer! The flowers were all handcut from one of the papers as I had no diecuts or punches with me!

I missed 2 monthly classes that Anita M takes, so I brought the kits with me to do, this one was of Sue when she was in the UK in 2009

As well as cooking meals I managed to do some Christmas cooking for Sue and here is the prepping of the cake and the finished cake which is now wrapped and soaking in rum for her family to enjoy this Christmas, not sure if I will make a cake for us but enjoyed doing this one!

I arrived to see a most lovely Canadian Fall but after 3 weeks the temps dropped to 0C - -2C and 2 mornings a week ago we woke to snowfalls!!here are some of the photos I took.

Here are some photos of the Fraser River nr where I was staying

here is where I stayed at Harrison Hot Springs a small town on the edge of Harrison Lake, it was beautiful

I took photos at different times of the day, The scenery was forever changing with the clouds around the mountains

This was the Miami River which ran at the back of Sue's house!

Another view of Harrison Lake with the mountains in the background

Another class LO that I missed but did in Canada of my youngest DGD this summer

Our Wedding Anniversary 2 days before I left for Canada I had a surprise for DH, I booked a B&B in the building he used to work in as a printer!! The B&B of course is called The Printworks! We had the Caxton Suite!

and another class LO and a Christening mini book finished for a friend before going away!
