Hello , what have I been up to for the rest of the month!

Cardinal Colours opened last week so we went to Jill's opening in Pevensey E Sussex and here is Anita giving some advice :)
Jill doesn't like her photo taken but she grinned and put up with it!! A super lady and I wish her much success with her new venture xxx
Oops I think that is my credit card!!!!!!
Here are Karen and Carol in front of Jill's new shop.
Anita's class was a Christmas LO so another LO for Xanthe's album taken on Christmas Eve, I enjoyed learning how to make the Christmas tree!
Last week we (the girls and I) had our usual breakfast on Monday morning in Sainsbury. I just had to take these photos of Xanthe eating her breakfast. She is 7mths now and she loves her food!

Here is Xanthe with Auntie Jo! Ouch!! was it my tooth or the spoon? Oh by the way Xanthe now has 2 teeth :)
Weekly challenge for week 2 on UKS. I got 30 points for our team
and another LO for last years holiday!
Caught Peter the other night with his favourite friend, Florrie :) The house wasn't cold...he just loves his new scarf from Christmas !!
I am really pleased that this month I have managed to do the UKS weekly challenge each week, my scrapping mojo seems to be back!
I actually broke into a brand new kit from Sarah's card Kit to do this as I just loved it!!
Week 3 for 30 points
Yesterday was my eldest son's 41st birthday, now I am feeling old!! Here are a few photos to share with you, not great but they captured the moment!

Happy Day Scrapping!

What a lovely day I have had! A real me day and no visitors, though I am a 'me' person today I wanted to scrap, do believe my mojo may be back from the pool at Bali with another teamie LOL!!
Here are the lace flowers I made last night with one altered button I did try!!
The buttons need glueing and sewing ! The other three I am using on my Jan minibook.
Here is the 'raw' front cover with thew title which I think I will highlight with glossy accents
I am using all old stash which I am finding difficult as I don't want to stroke this anymore...why did I buy it? :( It is a Scrap to go pad from Brenda Walton with papers, stickers and alphas and tags which I bought when I first started scrapping in 2006!)
Now I am ready to cover the envelopes and look for the photos for each page on my dear friend Carol who was widowed on 3rd April 2010 and her brave journey with New Beginnings last year
I feel so privileged to do this and so admire her guts and determination to live her life again
.
My quote for this album from Karen is "Every New Beginning comes from some other beginnings end"
Oops have realised my front cover spelling of beginnings is incorrect....well I do have a problem with spelling :(... Off to alter my title now!!

A Minibook A Month (AMAM)

Well I am a glutton for mini books AND challenges so when Karen said she was going to do this AMAM challenge in 2011...I just had to have a go!!
We have a month to prepare and make the mini book,
This month the theme is New Beginnings and I will be doing a minibook on my best friend Carol who has had to start a new beginning last April when her husband and our friend John died on Easter Saturday 3rd April 2010.
Karen has given us mini challenges each week and 2 of the challenges were to make some flowers from diecuts altered with inks or paint and bubble wrap. I also tried to alter 2 buttons as she suggested but I really didn't have any very interesting shaped ones to do but I did attempt to do 2 !!
Here are my flowers ready to finish and decorate, I HATED the mess LOL!!
and here they are finished. Not sure if I would attempt this again as I was definitely out of my comfort zone but pleased I tried to make them !
Now I am off to do a LO for UKS Weekly challenge and then attempt the lace flowers before we get our instructions to make the minibook for Jan

Where has my mojo gone?

Well today I am not sure I found my mojo which disappeared after the CC ...but I enjoyed the if it was really there then LOL!!
I went to my class that is run by lovely Anita McDonald at Cardinal Colours. She is such a talented lady and I love her to bits. This was her LO that I totally scraplifted and was thrilled with it and another LO for Xanthe's album! We used papers that were Christmas BG - Jovial
Last week I did WC week 1 on UKS. We had to use new stash ( so I used Sarahs Card Kit for Dec) and use time and journal. Here I am on Christmas Eve giving Xanthe's brother his first watch.

Catch up time and Happy New Year!

I just had to start by showing you 2 photos taken recently of our youngest DGD Xanthe!
here she is at breakfast time in Sainsbury!
and with Nanny just before Christmas!
One of many sunsets we had during December's snow . They were fantastic!
I took so mnay photos during our Dec snow, this photo was drips of water onto freezing snow.
Loved this photo of melted water that froze on these branches next to our patio.
The temperature was -3C and we live on the SE coast!!
I looked up one gorgeous sunny morning, the sky was so blue and saw these icicles and the snow on the roof, it looked like photos from Canada!!

Finally we had Christmas which was very quiet for us this year with very few photos!
Here we are New Year's day with one of our family.
BBefore we went for our meal we went on a united town church walk in the afternoon to look over our town and prayer for it for 2011
It was sad to see our destroyed pier in this photo
As a lot of you know I am not a walker but here I am with a friend proving that I did part of the walk!
and Peter who is a walkerwas ao pleased with me!!
