Another Weekly Challenge

Where has August gone LOL!! I cannot even say the weather was so fab I didn't stay indoors or that we have been on holiday!
Anyway I have finally done another weekly challenge for Week 4 on UKS. We had to use old stash. show something new and use circles in any way.
My stash was Scrapagog September 2008! [I used MME Garden Party Lush Blooms papers with CGD Letter stickers Brown Glitter and Nicklin Designs Brown Scrapbook scroll ]Other bits were found in old stash!
The photo was 2 years ago when Peter and I marshalled for an inter church LOAF walk on May Bank holiday Mon, somwthing very new for us!
Using circles is pretty obvious on one of the papers and one paper cut in a scalloped circle by hand and inked using Dew Drop VersaMagic Jumbo Java, bought at Cardinal Colours where I crop
I am disappointed with my title a) I should have spelt it as Lollipop but now notice the 'y'! and b) do not like how I placed lollipop and once placed could not remove the word so there it stays :(

2nd Xanthe LO

Used the same kit as last time. I should be able to make 4 LO's from this kit? It is basic Grey's Olivia Page kit, the first I have ever used, the only criticism I would have is they are all much the same and a bit like painting with numbers!!

My first Xanthe LO

How could I have forgotten to show you this LO in June which I did at a lovely friends crop I went to. It also had a fab shop and I bought this kit which will make 4 LO's, so hope to do another LO of Xanthe today at my usual monthly crop I go to at Cardinal colours,

Week 1 Aug team challenge and Create 10 class 8

Well the surprise party went well last night and Ness loved the canvas and the birth year book so the last couple of months has been well worth the effort!

I managed to finish this week's challenge on UKS before Sunday this week, I can take really no credit for this LO as it was another Create 10 class 8 which I followed to use up leftover numbers in our alphabet packs. I wasn't sure if this would work but must say I am pleased with the results and it matched the criteria for the weekly challenge.
Photo showing education or learning - here I am at Scrapfever retreat last year learning to use a Crop - A - Dile which I finally bought last September!
Use numbers 123 - definitely had those showing!.
Show one or more primary colours red, blue, yellow in your LO - showed all three.

Birth year 1970

I have finally finished this book for ness's 40th birthday today. I seem to have been doing it on and off forever!!
This is the front cover with all the ribbons that my DH hates LOL!!
The introduction page is from Ness's Mum and having put the page in the book I found a spelling mistake...here instead of her!! Oh well lots of kisses to hide it!!
The next 3 pages are photos of Ness from 1970 til last week mostly taken from her facebook photos!! What a surprise she will have!

Here is jo with ness and her sister's wedding evening do, what a time I had putting that bling on the page!! it was fine until I took it off the acetate, then it wouldn't make a perfect circle..hope it looks OK now!!

My backlog of LO's!!

WC July Week 4
Scrap a different size, use ribbon, use scraps and show visible journalling. [Used class 2 from Create 10]
WC July week 3
Make own paper -I stamped whirls in acrylic paint, show some embossing -embossed a butterfly, used stamping again in a different way - for title, use lace -made a lace from a border punch round edge of photo paper. Didn't get full marks as I didn't use summer colours!!
WC July week 2
Had to use bright colours (cardstock and photos were brighter in real life!), TV title, flowers and buttons

WC July Week 1
Had to use given sketch, 7 things, - 7 different patterened papers, photo showing relaxing - me eating an icecream on holiday, use stamping or sewing - stamped a journalling card

I finally changed my WC 4 into a 12x12 LO to finish my first Create 10 class 8, which I really enjoyed and another LO for my holiday album!

Canvas finally finished!!

I have finally finished a canvas for my step daughter's best friend. She is 40 this week and Jo wanted me to scrap these 2 photos of her and Ness.
I was very nervous about doing a canvas as it is only the second one I have done and this was rather large! I am still not sure whether I like it but Jo does and I hope Ness does too!
I am now finishing a birth album as my present to Ness on Saturday and will take a photo later today.
I have just realised that there are a lot of LO's not uploaded for a long time, seem to have forgotten to use this blog recently! Will try and rectify this soon!
