Day 13 - What's inside your fridge?

Day 13 - well what was inside my fridge? I decided to just open it and snap without any rearrangement and here it is a messy bottom shelf where all the salad and veggies sit !!
I nearly just snapped a couple of items but was brave...pleased to see no Christmas leftovers anymore!

Transluscent - penetrating light through but diffusing it so that objects on the opposite side are not clearly visible

Our Day out yesterday

I joined SW last week so had my first weigh in yesterday .....roll of drums..... I lost 51/2 lbs
It was a really mild and sunny day and we were then up the A21 to a retail park looking at furniture. After 2 shops we were sofa ed out!! so headed for lunch which we ate outside on 10th January!! It felt like April
We love bargains so we headed into Tunbridge Wells late afternoon and these are my bargains from a charity shop, the watch was a M&S and was brand new!! Just love the glittery pen, hope I don't lose it

and these were a sample of the furniture we looked at , we like the top R photo but in different colours but we are not sure and have other samples and still looking, the sales finish 29th Jan so not much time!!

Day 11 What are you wearing?

Day 11 - What are you wearing? is today's prompt
Well that was easy, every Christmas I have new slippers from DH which I buy during the year!! This year he had forgotten where he had
put them! Well they were hidden and so we had to search for them togetherLOL!!

Well obviously we found them because here I am wearing them!!

Xanthe today

Just had to add this collage before going to bed of some shots I took of Xanthe today, the budding artist !! She is now saying some words very clearly, today it was Flowers, baby. one, two, three and chair added to other words she has been saying for quite a while!!

Day 10 - Metallic

Day 10 - METALLIC> The dictionary definition of the word is 1. is relating to or havong the characteristics of metal. 2. containing a metal. 3. having a quality suggesting or associated with metal

Well I was watching a recording of Dancing on Ice this afternoon having taken several pictures of metal items and was thinking how Paul Schofield, the presenter had a shiny suit looking, quite metallic!! Here he is with Christine Blakeley in this suit!! Today's take on metallic LOL!!

Day 9 - Water

Todays word was WATER. I have spent a while taking many photos of the shower, water droplets etc! I think this is my best photo today for that word, looking forward to seeing other peeps takes on this today!

Sun crop post Christmas meal

After our monthly crop, nine of us went out for our annual post Christmas meal together. Here I am with three fellow scrappers, Wendy, Sy Karen and myself. A photo of all of us was taken on someone elses camera ! Please note my water on the table, I am still not drinking wine!!

What I lot I did at our crop today apart from chatting!!
Here are 2 quick LO's I did.
This was my LO for UKS weekly challenge week 1.
We had to use old stash - 10 points, incorporate circles into our LO - 10points and show some doodling on your LO - 10points
This is another LO for my cruise album of our table companions every evening, we all got on famously! These pictures were of each couple on one of the two formal evenings we had.
This was a 'calender scraplift' from the front page of a papermill calender my friend Carol decorated and gave to me Dec 2010!! As I was cutting the LO's for each month from the calender, I made it into a LO and added the crotched flower, journalling and practised doodling on this first before doing the above LO!!!!

Day 8

Day 8 - Cosy
We got very cosy at our crop today, infact someone said "we were too cosy and we needed the heating turning down"!!So this was my photo of the boiler we turned down!
Now I am home after a very long day cropping and then a meal afterwards. As I popped my dressing gown on and sat in my craft room I realised that this is what I call everyday COSY!!

Challenge 365+1 photos

This week I started a new photo challenge that Suzi is running for 365 days and linking to a UKS Snap 2012 challenge. we have to take a photo a day for the word she gives us. Today was the 6th day and I have finally managed to blog them!! from now on I will try and blog daily...watch this space :)
Day 1 - CELEBRATE
The New Year table as peeps began to celebrate the New year
Day 2 - NEW
This had to be joining SW again as a new member. It was hard to go back after a break of 2 years and admit I have started to put weight on again!!

Day 3 - UGLY
This word had to be a photo of our ugly cat Mae, we have 2 and call her ugly because as a kitten and the runt of the litter she was ugly!!

Day 4 - PRETTY
Here is our youngest DGD today having had her hands in the rubbish bin. We adore her so chose to photograph her for pretty!

Day 5 - EXCITEMENT
I had an exciting day in London today BUT on arriving home there were 2 parcels and how excited was I to find my album, WRMK protectors and Simple Story papers Year-o-gology

Day 6 - FROST
On a mild wet day this was a difficult one until I got some frozen berries out of the freezer for our dessert and saw the frost form on the berries

Weekly challenge week 3 & 4

Over Christmas we had 2 weeks to do the WC set by Scrapdolly. I did finish it on time but weather and lighting was poor andwe were very busy so I didn't upload in time over New year weekend, so instead of 30points I can only claim 10points!!
For 10points we had to use colours from given colour chart. Use a Christmas Carol as the title 10pts and journal using journalling strips 5pts and only one photo 5points.

1st Jan 2012 Happy New Year

On this wet, cold and miserable New year's day I am starting with 3 resolutions

• to blog more often in 2012


• to scrap more each month


• to lose weight again as the lbs have been rapidly increasing this Autumn!!

I had to share this photo of one of our cats, Florrie deciding to hang out with DH as he tied some flies yesterday. I think she was hoping to get a sniff of some rabbit fur or bird feathers he uses LOL!!

End of 2011 - THE FESTIVE SEASON

We had a lovely Christmas day with Jo, Amie and Lewis. The downside was that after lunch Amie felt unwell and they went home so it was a quiet evening with DH

Amie was sick the whole evning and night at home and next day went to NHS direct to find she had tonsillitis and both ears infected!!

Boxing Day we had my youngest DS and family for lunch and supper and had another lovely day.

Our youngest DGD Xanthe was the star with her dollies and our present the doll's pram was a great success. The Harry potter bus kept Zac and Mummy occupied!!

Auntie Jo and Lewis popped in with their presents but Amie was in bed on AB's!

We saw the New year in with 'old' friends, guess we are getting old LOL!! at Carol's new bungalow. We started eating at 8.30 and just finished for the New year to start!!

We finally went home at 2.30am!!

For us 2011 has been kind to us, we have had a Healthy and Happy year.

Sadly for friends and family this has not been so. My sons lost their father (my ex) to lung cancer this summer. This Autumn saw several funerals of aquaintances and now I have my dear friend Sue in Canada very poorly with bone cancer, I just pray she doesn't suffer in these last few months and am thankful I was able to visit her and care for her this Oct/Nov and have those precious memories.
