Day 256 - ARM

Today started with Peter trying to sell his (and mine) vinyl collection of LP's (91 records) to someone he knows who has a record 'shop'. He was prepared to give them away, so last night I looked on Amazon and Ebay at used vinyls we had and realised that we had at least £91 for 91 records but some of them were worth far more! Anyway when he arrived this morning I said I wanted to sell them on Ebay and knew the value of them, he then looked and picked 6Beatle records and 2 other records and gave me £80. :) Peter was amazed and said it was because of me, nice he recognised it was because of me we got that money!
We then went out for a bonding day, no where special, breakfast out some food shopping together, a look at Peter's fishing place and a spot of lunch, then to the main PO to pick up a CJ and then home.
Whilst out we discussed the word ARM. I then looked at the meaning at home

an arm and a leg Slang
An excessively high price: a cruise that cost an arm and a leg....Not what we paid!!!
arm in arm
With arms linked together: They walked across the beach arm in arm....we could have done this!!
at arm's length
At such a distance that physical or social contact is discouraged: kept the newcomer at arm's length at first.
with open arms
With great cordiality and hospitality.

Here are my photos of Peter's lovely hairy arm xxx

My arm covered up as I have horrible batwing arms :(
and what we decided could be an arm in a car????

  1. Clever you to sell your LPs !!! It's true that a lot of older things can have some good trading value nowadays. I wonder if we would do too, lol !!! xx

  7. My b-in-law has written a book about the 'Last Shop Standing ' about records shops and their rise, fall and current resurgence in some towns, so I am glad you didn't just give them away.. x I still have loads of mine, we got a turntable a while back but I never really got into playing them again much.
